Frequently Asked Questions

1 - Where does the race start?
The race will start on the 800 block of 7th street in Tell City. The 6-mile race will
start approximately 50 meters in front of the 2-mile race. Both finish in front of St.
Paul's Church on Main Street in Tell City.

2 - How does registration work?
There are two ways to register for the race. You can print off the entry form by
CLICKING HERE
(large file to download...give it time) and mail the form with
payment until August 10th. After then, runners must register the morning of the race
up to 7:30am. The registration booth will be on the North Side (closest to St. Paul's
Church) of City Hall Park. RUNNERS MUST REGISTER NO LATER THAN 7:30AM THE
MORNING OF THE RACE!!!

3 - What's the course like?
Links to both courses are located on the course page. Click here to get to that
page.

4 - Am I guaranteed a shirt?
YES!! Unlike some races where there are a limited number of shirts, we have a
policy that all runners will receive a shirt. Pre-registered runners are guaranteed to
get their shirt race-day; those who register late MAY have theirs sent to them if
none are available race-day - all runners WILL get a shirt, however!! The first 300
registrants will receive a Brooks Dri-Fit Shirt.

5 - Water? Concessions? Post-Race Snacks?
In our never ending attempt to make the race bigger and better, we'll have ample
water on the race course for all runners. After the race, we will have water,
Powerade, and snacks available for all runners to 're-engerize' themselves.

6 - I plan on walking the 6-mile race - is there a time limit for walkers?
YES. If you are wishing to walk the race, that is fine, but the 6-mile course will close
promptly at 9:45 (approximately 17 min/mile pace). If you feel that you need more
time, we'll make it work - just shoot us an email and we'll figure it out.

7 - Are there awards?
We will be giving out awards for the top 3 finishers in each category listed on the
registration form. The overall winners (male and female) of the 2mi and 6mi races
will also receive a trophy. All kid participants in the Kids' Fun Run will receive
participation ribbons.
